Frequently Asked Questions

What to know before you call.

Booking, magistration and the setting of bail usually happen within the first 24–48 hours. This window matters: moving quickly on a bond can get you or your loved one released fast, and early attorney involvement helps preserve evidence and avoid damaging statements.
It depends on the charge and the complexity of the case. We quote flat fees whenever possible so you know the full cost up front, and we offer payment plans. The consultation is always free — you will know where you stand before you spend a dollar.
Yes. A first DWI carries license suspension, surcharges, insurance consequences and a permanent record — and you have only 15 days after arrest to request the ALR hearing that can save your license. Many first-time cases can be reduced or dismissed with the right defense.
It can — some pleas that seem minor trigger deportation, inadmissibility or denial of naturalization. If you are not a U.S. citizen, tell your attorney immediately. Our crimmigration practice builds the defense strategy around protecting your status.
After arrest, a judge sets a bond amount. You can post the full amount in cash, use a bail bondsman, or in some cases an attorney can file a writ bond to speed release. We also request bond reduction hearings when the amount set is unaffordable.
Depending on the outcome, you may qualify for an expunction (destroying the record) or an order of nondisclosure (sealing it from most employers). Building toward a clearable outcome is part of how we plan a defense from day one.
